Championship game Saturday!!
Couple miscellaneous notes heading into our season finale:
1) If you're planning on playing and haven't yet RSVP'd, please do so immediately so we know if we need to recruit outside subs to fill in.
2) Please, please, please show up a minimum of 30 minutes early and get warmed up before the match! The last couple games we've had numerous people show up right at game time, and the result has been that we get beat up for the first half hour until everyone is warmed up. Although we've had phenomenal second halves, it would be really nice to play from the beginning with an advantage and actually play 90 minutes of good soccer.
3) Due to our ass-kickingly-good season, we've already secured promotion into a new and glorious division!!! (division 3 of the 30+ age group…yes, strange, but awesome nonetheless) So even though we don't need a victory to advance, this is still the championship, so let's play to win. Sub as soon as you get tired, play your positions tightly, and play your best game. Although we slaughtered these guys last time, they were undermanned. It will not be the same this time; we will need to play our A-game throughout the match.
