For many years I've been a huge fan of Wink. I have recommended it to many customers for training materials.

Unfortunately, I've just upgraded to Windows 7 64 bit, and as mentioned by a few people, input driven captures are no longer possible.
This is just a short note to add my voice to those asking for an update to cater for this problem.

I hope an update is available soon !

Ian.

PS. I realize that a number of workarounds have come out, but I can't really continue to recommend it in it's current form !

I have not tried on 64bit but on 32bit win7 the only thing that doesn't work is voice overs.

I did find a work around for the voice overs as well (although it is a bit clunky).  I play the wink video and capture it using CamStudio, this gets loaded into windows movie maker which I can then use to crop/edit in voice overs/do transforms/etc.  This also has the added benefit of being a video format that you can put on youtube or similar services.  Or you can use xmediarecode to format it for any service/device you want.

The downside is that you lose the interactive properties wink is so good at.

I'd love to see a better solution.  Especially one that keeps the interactivity, the voice overs, but makes the end product compatible with youtube.

I thought I had read that the next version would be open source. If that is the case you might consider opening the project and code you have so far to the community so others could help make the next version come to life and you would not have the entire effort on your sholders.

Just a thought,

JP
