Hi.
A few questions....
1.
According to the project page, one of the planned features is to be
able to increase & decrease font size using CTRL+] and CTRL+[. But
already shortcut keys for that exist in the form of CTRL+SHIFT+.
(fullstop) and CTRL+SHIFT+, (comma). Maybe you didn't know? That and
a few other keyboard shortcuts are not listed in v2.0's help file. I
only learnt of them recently myself despite using the guide every day
for a couple years now.
2.
What does "format painter" mean? That's listed as the 2nd planned
feature. Pardon my ignorance, but I don't comprehend what the intended
feature would actually be.
3.
Just curious regarding the 3rd planned feature. Why include the
ability to remove formatting? Wouldn't that be the same as doing a
CTRL-A (select all), cut, then CTRL+SHIFT+V (paste as text)....?

With all that in mind, I reckon the top priority ought to be to update
the inbuilt help so that it does list all of the keyboard shortcuts.
A lot of current users might know they can do things that they wanted
to and didn't know they could.

cheers,
- phil

Hi Phil,

Thanks for the information. I guess adding support for reconfigurable
shortcuts ought to take care of item 1. Format painter is something
which you use to copy text formatting from one section of your text
and apply it to another. Many rich text editors have this feature (for
example MS Word). About the third point I guess this is one way of
doing it but I still think a quick to use one step operation will be
useful.

And as for the help file...I plan to include a list of all
reconfigurable shortcuts in the new key configuration dialog I am
working on. I suppose this will take care of documenting the list of
commands and shortcuts for the time being. But nevertheless I agree
with you, the help document should also be updated.

Cheers,
Sandeep.
