Does anyone have any idea what has happened to Pacific Seaflight
http://www.pacificseaflight.com/ . The development of their planned
services seems to have have stopped in mid 2008. Also, the WigetWorks
site seems to have no new updates http://www.wigetworks.com/Product%20AF3.html

I also would appreciate any updates on both companies activities.

Hello,
I can not contribute any information about Pacific Seaflight. I have just begun research into existng WIG craft companies.

I think the Chinese have developed a larger passenger transport capable of traveling with sufficient surface clearance to overcome any water interference while in flight mode.
The Russians originally developed the "Orlionuk"which was developed for "surface effect" transport of troops and weapons.
I am sure you can buy a used one, but I am afraid the fuel consumption would be too high and restoration would be required.

Other craft I have noticed in the past would be the German X -wing and smaller designs. But smaller sized craft would not be as efficient for commercial use.I believe that there is a market for this type of transportation.

TYPE A WIG cannot clear the water... 1m to 5m above water only...

TYPE B WIG fly above 30 m to 50 m above water... and SEA eagle does
that

TYPE C WIG fly at ground effect or free flight mode.

the chinese are developing lake WIG. on calm water... 16- 18 seater.
SWAN
SEA eagle is also developed by the CHINESE which will be a 20 seater
in a year time but it is seafaring.
