Remote changes

Hi all,

I am not clear on how to be when something is changed in remote.
If file/folder is created it ok that I send a notification but I have questions about changing/removing files/folders.
1. if a file was changed, should I wait for all handles to be closed and only after that send a notification about the change?
2. if a file/folder was removed, should I wait for all handles to be closed and only after that send a notification about the change?
3. what is the correct algorithm for applying remote changes to virtual FS?
