Hi,

According to AI (ChatGPT) where I am trying to resolve my Service dispatcher code, which is no longer working on Windows 2025:

Is this statement below true?
And how to replace my SCM code to this model? And does this mount point stay mounted after reboot, even if a user is not logged in?

The official (but poorly advertised) deprecation

WinFsp never loudly announced it, but effectively:

SCM-hosted WinFsp filesystems are now deprecated on modern Windows

They still compile, but:

  • Are unreliable

  • Fail silently

  • Break across updates

The launcher model is now the only supported path.
