Looks like we each have a wine or two in mind. How about food? Even if you haven't fully decided, do you have a feel for general category? Like crunchy & dippy, or meat(!), or desserty.

Yes food. I'm thinking I'll make some chips and fruit salsa. So far it looks like the weather will be great for Saturday.

We have plenty of food for the grill.  IN addition to CJ’s chicken, someone else is bringing a skirt steak and I have lots of sausages and turkey burgers I can throw on.  We could probably use some side dishes or better yet some noshes for before we eat dinner that might go good with the wines (not chips, I have plenty of those as well).  Desert wise, I have some cookies and someone is bringing a tart.

Caravel California White Blend

Raymond Merlo Estate Vineyards Trinity County 2009 Chardonnay

For me, as I recall, the first one was fine but unexciting, the second was actually very good, the third was interesting but some liked it better then I did, and the forth was terrible.  You may have your own differing memories thereof.
