last minute dinner tonight. champagne and japanese food

had a couple of last minute cancellations for a dinner we are having at makoto in DC tonight 7:30pm and thought to offer it to the nova group.

makoto is a traditional japanese restaurant in DC, pre fixe menu style,

we will have the whole restaurant to ourselves, and it's a byob event, with the theme "champagne+" which means bring a bottle of champagne and a bottle of something else you think would go with japanese food.  

in terms of wine, the lineup consists of 71 dom, 90 krug, and 98 dom p2 to name a few of the bubbles, and in terms of reds there will be a ponsot clos de la roche, and i'm bringing some older petrus.

it is a pricey dinner at $160+tip per person, and we tip the staff an extra $20 in cash on top. and business casual attire (no jeans, no t shirts)

super last minute but i know there was some interest when i brought it up last saturday :)
