Dear friend of Grape Getaways,
We had a wonderful trip to Connecticut wine country on June 21st (our first to the "Nutmeg State") and we couldn't have had a better time or a more beautiful sunny day. Two trips are coming up in July which we wanted to tell you about...
On July 12th we're off to the Hudson Valley where will visit the Benmarl Winery and Millbrook (the largest in the region). For a change of pace we're having lunch at a goat farm where we can see the "kids" and taste some goat cheese. It should be a fun trip.
On July 26th our bus is heading out to the North Fork of Long Island. Our stops include Jamesport Vineyards (the first time to this well respected winery which
is run by a father and son team), Castello di Borghese (a perennial favorite and yes beautiful Ann Marie will once again present her award-winning wines to our group),
and Laurel Lake where their winemaker will lead us on a tour and we'll sample some wines straight from the barrel (as well as others, so you can taste the difference).
