Cup 2011 vs. Open 2011

In light of the economy - for those of us that do go to tournaments.
Should we as Windy City Darters have a cup in 2011 (State of Illinois
Steel Tip tournament) and not an open. Or should we not have the Cup
in 2011 and prepare for the Windy City Open 2011?
My personal opinion is that we should have a Cup 2011 and maybe not an
open. If the Pro's are close they can play open at the cup just not
501 singles because that determines who is the State of Illinois Steel
Tip Champion. Some modifications may need to take place such as maybe
having it at a Moose or VFW hall and it being a 2 day tournament.
Everyone is responsible for where they choose to stay.
