I just installed arch linux and one of the only remaining things I have to set up is the USB wifi card. However, I can't seem to find the appropriate driver for it. Here's the device description according to lsusb:

I can't find anything on RTL8192U with Arch-Linux around the internet. The wiki does list some similar devices, though. Also, when the USB device is connected, enp0s26u1u1 pops up when using the "ip link" command, I don't know how relevant this is.

I had been using a Netgear USB WiFi adapter. It required no driver installation or anything. It stopped working two days back, probably because it is too old now.
I unboxed my wifi dongle which I purchased as a backup - a D-Link DWA 131 USB adapter. And it is not working.

A question on fedora forum, relating to the same wifi dongle is here: -adaptor-dl-dwa-131-seems-working-but-cannot-connect/3222/3
A user on the forum suggest installing the driver from -linux-driver I wanted to proceed but I have never compiled an application from source before so I stopped.

Finally, I have booted in windows, and am typing this post. Probably the GitHub link I posted may be the right driver, but I am too dumb with source files and stuff. Maybe a user here can help me get my wifi dongle working. Thanks!

Rebooted. Wifi still cannot connect.
A side question, how do i verify my chipset model? I found out mine from the net, but is there a way to know it y running some command on my pc, so that i can be sure about it.

It has been five months now, and there has still been no update for the D-LINK VR AIR BRIDGE driver. I contacted D-LINK, and they informed me that only Meta can fix this issue since they own the software.

Hey there @ShellTrayWnd! We see the dedication you've shown in trying to resolve the issues with your D-LINK drivers, and we're here to lend a hand! Have you uninstalled and reinstalled the software yet? If you've tried this before, we suggest giving the uninstall and reinstall process another go with these steps.

Thank you for getting back to us with that information, we would love to review further and see what we can do to help. Can you please send us a direct message from our Profile Page so we can investigate this further? We look forward to hearing from you!

Hey again, we would love to investigate the D-Link Air Bridge installation issues you are having, please reach out to us at any time that is most convenient for you, and we would love to look into it further! We are available any time from our Profile Page.

For anyone having trouble pairing/configuring your VR Air Bridge, here are some tips based on my own personal experience.

Problem: VR Air Bridge starts to configure/update itself but errors out about 30% through.

Possible Solution: Go into your Windows settings -> network and internet -> wifi , and forget any WiFi networks that are close to your PC. The source of the issue may be, your PC is reconnecting to another WiFi network in the middle of configuring the VR Air Bridge (which it DOES interrupt all network connections during this process)

Problem: VR Air Bridge is configured and ready to connect to the headset, but the headset drops the connection and doesn't save the network

Possible solution: In your Quest 2/3/Pro headset, forget the saved WiFi networks so that there are none. Then, reboot your headset. Upon reboot it will prompt you to connect to WiFi (using a slightly different UI than from quick preferences). You should now be able to connect your headset to VR Air Bridge successfully.

- Try unplugging and replugging the device either the cradle or the VR Air Bridge itself.
- Tried using different USB3.x ports on your computer
- Tried to do a factory reset (from the Meta Quest Link app on the PC)
- Go into Windows 11 Settings -> Network and Internet -> WiFi and removed each known network by selecting "Forget"
- Confirm in Network Adaptors that it was not connected to anything before trying to configure again. If you have WiFi networks you normally connect your PC to, this could cause issues.

Actually, I am very new to Linux. I checked Dlink website yesterday and downloaded the driver for Linux. But it didn't work and my Wifi adapter is not recognized on Zorin OS 16. On Dlink website, the driver was I think for Linux 4.3.2, while I think Zorin Os 16 kernel is 5.11.

Interesting thing's that, both of my dlink wifi adapters, when I plug them in and run lususb command, they are both recognized but they are not listed in setting as wifi adapters and not shown on the taskbar

It seems that people do have similar issues with the Intel(R) Wireless-AC 9560 card. I did wonder if the user had both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz connections set up so that it can switch between the two as I think that sometimes it is best to let it connect by the 2.4 GHz channels only. You could also get the Lenovo drivers direct from them as they should have checked out compatibility. If you can get physical access to the laptop you could try Linux such as Ubuntu operating from a USB stick to see if the Linux drivers have an issue.

Hi 23000peterw, thanks for the reply. I did download the title with wireless LAN driver from lenovo too. For some reason, once it installed, it installed WAN wireless instead of LAN. Then I updated all necessary drivers by using lenovo system update and installed intel wireless driver.

Do you mean VPN affects her wifi? She used to have a connection issue with vpn. Her vpn connection dropped a lot. Then she switched to a network cable. So does it mean that her wifi works fine if not connecting to vpn?
