Subscribed to Norton 360 for many years and never had renewal problems like this before. First, I'm an American living in Japan. While I speak Japanese, I am not fluent but almost everything Norton sends me switches to Japanese and the option to change language disappears. Then, Norton wanted me to update my billing information. I did several times and saved it. Norton successfully pinged my credit card account several times. But I kept getting notifications that my account was about to expire. And now it has. All my attempts to get Norton's subscription services to communicate with me have failed. I am very hard of hearing so "chat" is not an option. I'm here as a last resort. If this fails too, I'll look for another protection service that is willing to work with its customers. Extremely disappointed.

If you log on to on-line support and select 'CHAT' will bring you to the chat page, this is not voice to voice but is via written on screen responses both ways identical to sending/receiving texts on your mobile.

We will continue to send you information relating to your orders, account updates, subscription status and important cyber security alerts regardless of this setting. If this was a mistake or if you change your mind, re-subscribe and we'll get you back in the know!

If you used the Norton Renewal process you can check the number of days by opening the classic 360 interface by clicking on open beside Device Security in the new my Norton interface. Then click on Help > Subscription Status. That will connect to the Norton subscription servers and report the number of days remaining.

Our innovative security technology is powered by artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning, and we monitor online threats across the globe to help protect your devices against viruses, malware, spyware and ransomware. Our goal is to help protect your private and financial information when you go online.

Do you back up your PC? You could drop your laptop, the hard drive could fail, or ransomware could encrypt your files, making them unrecoverable. Norton solutions have multiple layers of protection to help defend against ransomware attacks. Using Cloud Backup is one more preventive measure to help keep your files safe. Learn how Cloud Backup works.

How do you remember the long, complex passwords that your many online accounts require you to create? Do you re-use them or write them down on a sticky note? Strong passwords are important for online account security. Norton Password Manager enables you to generate complex passwords and store them in a secure online vault. From within your vault, you can access your passwords at your fingertips. Learn more about using Norton Password Manager to secure your passwords.

Do you use public Wi-Fi? Connecting your smartphone or laptop to shared Wi-Fi at the coffee shop down the street may not be as private as you think. Even password-protected Wi-Fi may leave you vulnerable to attacks. A Virtual Private Network (VPN) gives you protection and encryption for online privacy when you use a public or shared Wi-Fi network.

Does your PC have a webcam? Cybercriminals can use spyware (software that enables spying) to take pictures with your webcam without your knowledge. Cybercriminals have used compromising photos stolen from webcams for blackmail or extortion. Norton 360 gives you protection against spyware, and SafeCam specifically blocks unauthorized webcam access to your PC.

Do you know where to start if your identity is stolen?
Having your identity stolen is scary, and you may not know where to begin to resolve the issue. Our Identity Restoration Specialists are ready to help you resolve your identity theft problem. If your identity is compromised, a Restoration Specialist is assigned to your case to guide you through the restoration process from start to finish.

If fraudsters gain access to your personal details, they can take money from your bank account or credit out in your name. With monthly access to your Credit Report & Score18, you can take the necessary steps to safeguard your financial reputation if you spot inaccuracies that may indicate fraudulent activity.

We monitor changes to your credit report18 and alert you, allowing you to track when changes you made have become active. Should you find you have not made a change, you can take action by raising a dispute directly from your credit report18, establishing a crucial first line of defense against identity theft

8 Video Supervision requires a browser extension on Windows and the in-app Norton Browser on iOS and Android. It monitors videos viewed on YouTube.com (but not YouTube videos embedded in other websites or blogs) and on Hulu.com (but only on Windows). It does not work with the YouTube or Hulu apps.

17 Social Media Monitoring is not available on all social media platforms and the features differ between platforms, for details go to: norton.com/smm. Does not include monitoring of chats or direct messages. May not identify all cyberbullying, explicit or illegal content or hate speech.

Popular browsers are supported, including Chrome, Edge, and FireFox. Parental Control portal access is not supported on Internet Explorer. On iOS and Android, the in-app Norton Browser must be used to get the full benefit of the features.

I received an email from Norton, indicating that my CC had expired. I've not updated to my new card, by choice.
Today, I log into my Norton Account, to Cancel 'Auto-Renewal'; I find my new card details logged in 'Billing-Information'.
So, how have Norton obtained my new details ? Is the exchange of secure details common place ?

If you have your credit card stored at any company then your credit card vendor considers them a recurring merchant and will send new info to that company so that there is no interruption in payment service. This is completely normal behavior.

You can cancel auto renew with Norton and remove your billing info and your Norton product will function normally until your expiration date. At that point you will have to purchase a new subscription from Norton or from a third party retailer.

After several months I have removed Norton Driver Updater and cancelled the subscription. I wish I could get a rebate. Every time it ran it wiped out all my audio drivers and not being a whizkid it took me hours to figure out what I needed to reinstall. I guess the first time it happened I didn't realize why I had lost the drivers. The second time I was able to reinstall them but the third time, I was supposed to be making a presentation and didn't realize right away that Norton had again removed my drivers. The recover drivers feature did not work at all although the drivers were there. I am very disappointed and would really like my money back!!

Please check your Norton account to confirm ... automatic renewal is off ... and no billing information.

MY SUBSCRIPTIONS reports: Activate Subscription Renewal ... with automatic renewal off.
