Dear Colleagues

1.    The dissertation of Frits van den Berg on wind turbine noise, G.P. van den Berg: "The sound of high winds - the effect of atmospheric stability on wind turbine sound and microphone noise", has been accepted by the University of Groningen, the Netherlands, and is now available in print and in digital form.

In print it can be ordered from the Science Shop for Physics for 10 euro per copy and 5 euro postage + handling per order.

You can order the book and remit the amount due or, if you prefer, send an envelope with the proper amount in paper currency (US dollar or GB pound notes are accepted too).

To contact the Science Shop for Physics see www.rug.nl.wewi/we.

The dissertation is also available digitally on the website of the Groningen university's library: see http://irs.ub.rug.nl/ppn/294294104.

2.     Wind Turbine Noise 2007 will be held in Lyons, France from 20 to 22 September 2007.  This is immediately following an International Fan Noise Conference in Lyons (see http://www.fannoise2007.org/ ), which may also be of interest to some wind turbine noise specialists.

3.    The 12th International Conference on Low Frequency Noise and Vibration and its Control takes place in Bristol, UK from 18 to 20 September 2006.  (See www.lowfrequency2006.org) .

Best wishes for a good summer
