Hello,
We have just a few things to pass along. (okay maybe more than a few)
1. The trees along Delaware are planted and are looking good. We're
excited about this neighborhood improvement.
2. There have been several reports of cars going a little fast in the
neighborhood. Of course as you know, as the weather warms up, kids
and pets are out and about. If you have visitors, teen drivers,
babysitters, etc. would you kindly spread the word about slowing down
to 25mph or less, and remind them to be on the lookout for kids
playing?
3. If you have any information about a Black Land Rover with Texas
plates (maybe 2008 or 2009 model) driven by a young male driver
(teenager possibly) with a friend in the passenger seat -- they were
spotted by several neighbors as going 40mph (or more), swerving,
hanging out the window and possibly throwing a "beer" bottle out the
window. One neighbor reported seeing the car stop, one of the boys
got out and ran to the wall and picked something up. This was in the
early evening hours this past Sunday and several families were out
enjoying the weather. The police were called, but we are not sure
what happened after that. This was a very dangerous situation as we
(myself and several parents/adults) witnessed them speed by several
playing children. If anyone knows who this is, has a license plate
number or has a security camera that overlooks Richmond, 117th Place,
117th Street, Quebec, 118th Street and can go back to Sunday at about
7-8:30pm that would be helpful.
4. We're excited to announce the Wind River Garage Sale dates.
Friday June 7th from 8a to 5p as well as Saturday June 8th from 8a to
noon. The gates will be open during these times. Save your junk as
well because there will be a dumpster at the clubhouse the weekend of
the garage sale for Wind River Residents to dispose of unwanted items.
5. There has been a lot of illegal dumping at the clubhouse
dumpster. In recent weeks we've had a mattress, boxes, large trash
items etc. A while back there was even a refrigerator?? The city
doesn't pick up those large items and it is left up to the HOA to pay
to have those items properly disposed of. Because of this growing
problem there is now a lock on the door, and only those who rent the
clubhouse will have access to the dumpster. The City of Tulsa has
informed the board that they are going to start enforcing the illegal
dumping at that site, and there is a fine associated with that
enforcement.
6. If you have any pictures from The Wind River Easter Party you
would like to share in the River Living Magazine, send them to Candace
Trenary.

7. Street resurfacing is in the works for Tall Grass, Cross Timbers,
and White Oak to match what the City of Tulsa has done on the public
streets of our neighborhood. We are waiting for word from the company
on when they plan on doing it. We may not get a ton of notice, but we
will do our best to give you as much notice as possible -- as soon as
we know, we'll pass the information along. We know a lot of their
schedule and timing has to do with the weather, so stay tuned.
8. If you have a new neighbor, encourage them to sign up for google
groups or to email us if they'd like to get notifications on
neighborhood activities.
9. The lights are getting fixed around the neighborhood -- in fact
they should be fixed now. Let us know if you spot a light that is out
(give good location details).
10. Gate repairs have been done as well. Pls notify Collins &
Associates if you see any problems, or you can submit an inquiry from
our website.
http://www.windrivertulsa.com/Contact.html -- Those
emails go directly to my email, so pls remember the Board is made of
WR Residents -- we're your friends and neighbors and like volunteering
to help make our neighborhood great.
11. Wind River Annual meeting is coming up. Watch your mailbox for
dates and information.
Thanks so much --
Rebecca Bennett & Your WR HOA Board
