Also, in your upcoming quarterly statement you'll be getting a letter
about HOA activity in the last quarter. The letter will have
information on gate repairs, a builder/HOA update, and update on the
sprinkler damage on Delaware, plans for 2012 and other business.
We're excited to report that the "sidewalk to nowhere" (from 118th
Blvd to 118th St) will be completed. We know many of you often jog/
walk around the neighborhood only to find that indeed the sidewalk
does end! The work to make that loop complete will be done in the
coming weeks. Also, the fountains and waterfalls are now working
again. We had several items that needed to be worked out to get those
in good shape and we thank you for your patience. Rest assured we
made sure HOA dollars were used in the best way possible for repairs
and future maintenance for those features.
A sneak peek into 2012:
After several comments and inquiries about a neighborhood park, we are
please to announce those plans are in the works! We have a park
committee and would invite anybody to help with this wonderful mission
to not only enhance Wind River, but to have a destination spot for
parents and children to play safely. Plans for the park should be
complete within the next few weeks and you will be getting information
soon. As for a location, that is still being worked out. We would
love your suggestions and ideas on that as well as on how to raise
funds. We are very much in the beginning stages on this and will be
taking your desires, comments & concerns into consideration while
making decisions.
In an effort to have a safe experience at the pool, the HOA board is
working on permanent umbrellas for both the main poolside area and the
kiddie area.
Street repairs and a maintenance plan for the gated portions of our
neighborhood are also on our radar. As you may know the city is
responsible for the non-gated portions of Wind River, and the repairs
for the gated areas come out of a special fund collected from the
gated residents HOA dues. The recent harsh winter and hot summer
caused some damage to the roads and we feel it is important to start
maintenance now before the problems get worse.
More details will be coming via the mail and through wind river google
groups. Please tell your neighbors about connecting through google
groups, as it is a great way to stay informed and to share comments
and observations.
