Hi,
I am reaching to this group because we are working with Google's WindowTester project which is now in the Google Archive.

Fortunately this project made its way to Github and is now still heavily used, at least by us :) I assume others do the same. That's why we would like to make it publicly available on Maven Central. This would ease our dependency management and of cause others could participate easily too.

Therefore our company would like to fork the project in their public Github space and push it to Maven Central.

But as no one else has done the push to Maven Central so far we are in doubt if we are allowed to do so or would violate any of Google's copyrights/laws/restrictions on this project.

Maybe there is someone here in this group who could give me clarification on this?

Many thanks
Roman

Google's intent ten years ago was to donate it and make it freely available. Please keep any license and copyright statements in place and provide attribution to the source. Otherwise, please use it any way that is helpful to you or others. I'm thrilled hear that someone is still finding it useful ten years later! 🙂

Hi Eric,
thanks a lot. Ya, we are the last Swing users 😁 not easily capable of migrating to JavaFX or anything modern.
So we are making the best out of it.

Regards,
Roman
