Hi, can you suggest me a friendly network monitor program? (Good if freeware..)
My modem credentials are not provided by network service provider, and it shows lots of activity. Would like to know where requests are coming form and packets are going..

Also, can you tell me about a win7 mailing list ? I have been comfortable in this list.

Microsoft Network Monitor:

or

You will need to read the how-to manuals but as you actually need to learn how to use the programs. Both are quite easy to learn.

Thankyou.. Installed both, as you said, not that easy to monitor traffic. Lots of parameters on screen.  Is there anything like ZoneAlarm in the freeware sector ?

I have downloaded Dude, EasyNet monitor, IP Scan, PRTG, Network miner etc seeing a blog, but already embarassed to see the screens of Microsft Network Monitor, Wire Shark and Capsa.

ZoneAlarm used to give notifications when files are accessed by remote computers, and so.
