[Just joined TWO rather similar XP Groups. Not yet clear what the
distinction is between them, or which one is more appropriate for this
question, so posting to both.]

For the last week or so my monitor has not been powering off as it is
set to do in Power Options. In the past this has been cured by
changing the setting (e.g. arbitrarily selecting 15 mins instead of 20
mins) and re-booting my XP PC (a fairly rare event, as I like it on
pretty well permanently). But lately that's not fixed it.

Any ideas please?

Thanks, no I haven't done so recently. I'll run CCleaner a little
later today.

BTW, changing subject, I had to re-join this Group in order to reply,
which I find very puzzling considering I started the thread! Anyone
else get that problem?
