Is Internet Exployer compatible with Windows 2000?

Hi, new group member here. Still running Windows 2000 very
successfully on well maintained PC. However, recently my Yahoo mail
browser has been acting very strange and I have to completely clear
all the internet files from my cache in order to send emails or attach
files before sending. I am under the impression that I have to upgrade
to IE 7 for Yahoo to work properly but have questions on whether its
compatible with my operating system. Please advise... thank you.

have you tried chrome or firefox? firefox works fine on 2 of my old
2k machines.
