Connecting to a Printer

We have a W2K Server that users connect to remotely that is not on our
domain. We run some business software on this computer and while I
can share our network printers I have trouble with personal printers.
If I share the printers I can manually connect them and they will work
during that connection but when the users connect the business
software starts on connection and they cannot manually connect the
printer. Is there a batch program or anything else I can run that
will connect a printer on connection? I have already installed it
just need to connect it. Thanks.
