IE opens soooooo slow on Win2k but is fine in safe mode....

Firefox works fine. I have done adaware, spybot, norton and just
found minor stuff which is gone now, but unless I am in safe mode,
Internet Explorer takes several minutes (3-5) to open and it stalls
out. It may be stalling out while the home site (msn) lets their
advertisers try to download cookies. If I allow them, block them or
prompt, it still takes forever. Any suggestions? It's my bosses
computer and I am elected to try to fix it since the IT guy quit!
