You can put shades on your neighbors' windows, screens on there, anything you want, but if your neighbors windows are warped - if they are not flat, they generate temperatures in excess of 200 degrees.  I have measured them - and that temperature melts siding, and sets lawn furniture ablaze.  You have to replace the non flat windows with FLAT ones.

The windows manufacturers generally do not make their own glass. And they also deny that they have any role in this. They say the window "collapses" after installation. NOT TRUE. We have had new, replacement windows installed now for 15 years - not a single one of the FLAT ones has caused a single problem.

Cardinal Glass helped us identify the problem. They swear that they are only providing flat glass these days. BUT  . . . they were not doing that in the past.

Sue them - common pleas court filing fee is usually a pittance. Bring along the evidence I have collected - see what the judge says. MAKE them replace their windows AND pay for your new siding. See how that  works. That or find a creative young attorney who wants to get rich and to a class action against the glass and windows people.
