Handy tool for measuring melting / melted siding temperature

This is a handy little tool for measuring the temperature on melting siding.

Costs $20, and it will give you an instant read on the temperature of the surface pointed at. Could be handy to indicate why the vinyl is getting so hot!

What we need now is a cheap and foolproof way to figure out if the glass in a window is really FLAT, or if it is actually a convex magnifying lense.
