Can you tell me a couple of things about yourselves?

1) Are you in the middle of deploying Windows 7?
2) What do you think about the software?

Windows 7 is by far the best OS Windows has ever launched and I've been using windows since it was introduced almost 20 years ago. I have it on a small network of only 4 machines.

My only issue with Win7 is a problem with Windows Live.  Programs were removed & reinstalled but Live refuses to reinstall completely, the movie maker program chokes every time.  Also, I believe these are related, but my automatic updates also choke (every day) when it tries to install a Live update. The updates are:

Security Update for Microsoft Office 2007 (KB951550)
Security Update for the 2007 Microsoft Office System (KB951944)

Other than that, I am thrilled with the OS and have recommended it to all of my clients.

Thanks,

Tom

It installs, but the same update appears moments later.  This has been happening for months.

Hi,

The organisation I currently work for is considering deploying windows 7
to 1000 desktops (which have XP), and 500 laptops (which also have XP).

1 - Our organization is in the planning and assessment phase of a
Windows 7 rollout. The organization has around 2300 desktops/
laptops/ and virtual machines.
2 - I agree that Windows 7 is the best OS Microsoft has come out with
since I have been using Windows products. It is extremely
responsive. I've rarely had it crash on me. Easily detects and
installs hardware drivers.
