Hi, does anyone here know how to play Stronghold Curasder on Steam online multiplayer ? some of my friends and I want to play this old-school game on Steam but we are not sure that we can play it online through steam?
I played Stronghold a long time ago. Now I'm not sure what features are still active and honestly can't remember what games have what. For example, supposedly multiplayer AI isn't supported in Stronghold 2 and that is the game I was initially considering. My friend and I really want to get into a game like this and we would like it to have a cooperative campaign and online multiplayer.
Can i load the saved game in Stronghold crusader HD multiplayer ?We use gameranger for multiplayer. We play one on one but its too long game for one day and we wonder how to save and load saved game. We tried all the options in the game and its doesnt worked. Help pls :) Thx
Stronghold allows for up to 8 players to take part in a multiplayer game. Though not as popular as deathmatch mode, the game also offers a 'king of the hill' style mode. To win, a player must control the center of the map for a set amount of time.

One clear differentiator from the rest of the series that I should mention, I suppose, are the Warlords referred to in the title. Both in the single player campaign and on multiplayer skirmish maps, there are neutral settlements to be captured (either by peaceful or beastmode means) which offer your faction buffs, provide resources, send out armies to support yours, or do other helpful things.
I have rediscovered Stronghold Crusader and got the HD version on steam together with my partner. Now we have played a few games against multiple AI and while the beginning is challenging, once we have built up our castles their attacks get kinda boring. We mostly like the building and defending phase, with some pause between the attacks to get the castle up to speed again. Is there a mod that makes this more interesting/challenging and works with multiplayer? I have found a huge list of mods but a lot of them seemed to be abandoned.
EDIT: I found a solution that let us play together on the same wifi network. You have to into Windows Firewall advanced settings->inbound rules-> stronghold crusader-> then there is a tab that says protocol-> set it to TCP on each PC for stronghold crusader.

Stronghold Challenges are a category of multiplayer challenges in Red Dead Redemption that involve the Stronghold game mode. Will there be a SC Extreme version of this mod? If the troop limit is not increased, this mod is not doing much in terms of multiplayer, because you can't have any fun with the troop limit that low in the normal version of the game

The latest in Firefly's venerable castle-managing strategy series, Warlords moves setting from Europe to East Asia and makes a number of changes to the ways Stronghold handles walls and unit formations. But while previously scheduled for a January 26th release, the current state of the game's multiplayer means Firefly has postponed release until March 9.
"The reason behind this is that the game's multiplayer is simply not ready to be released yet," Firefly write. "We have run into some unexpected issues with it and, while we have worked very hard to resolve these with our current deadlines, we need more time to iron them out."
Firefly did briefly look into launching Warlords without multiplayer, and adding it in a later post-release update. But as the post explains, the studio has been promising multiplayer at launch for over a year, and Firefly feel it "wouldn't be fair" to drop it at the last minute. Stronghold: Warlords will launch on Steam March 9.

UK-based FireFly Studios has released a multiplayer demo of its real-time strategy epic Stronghold: Crusader. In the complete absence of any further detail (thanks!), you'll have to judge just how much you want to play it based on this bank of screenshots. Is that worth downloading 88MB for? You decide. Be sure to download the UK and presumably European demo ( direct link), however, as opposed to the American one you may have seen elsewhere.
