Facebook is forever evolving to make your social networking experience as specific and integrated into your daily life as possible. Not only can you leave messages on your friends' walls, but you can also tag them in your posts, email them or even use Facebook's chat feature to instant message within the website. Facebook has made its chat program easy to modify so that you can adjust your availability and your friend lists.

Your chat sidebar works in a similar way. The algorithm chooses interactions, activity, communication, photos, etc. This determines which friends will show up on top and have priority. The friends that you communicate with most often will usually be first on this list.

Hi, it is really bothering me that Facebook changed this aspect on their app, before, I can see the entire list of people who are online in my chat list in the right, but now I can't do that anymore?

Make sure that you review the terms of use for new sales channels before you start using them. Some sales channels require or prohibit certain information in your product listings, and some require you to ship your customers' orders within a specific number of days.

Following a conversation, save relevant notes back to your CRM using the two-way integration in Inbox. This can include apparel sizes, order preferences, or other details that may be useful to have on hand for future chats.

Hi, just to clarify, the Facebook Chat Bookmarklet works on Facebook.com, and is different from the wireframe demo at
_chat_dialog_module/demo.htm
which is used to demonstrate a functional online chat widget. Some people were asking me about this earlier.

So the bookmarklet, when activated from your Favorites/Bookmarks menu while the Facebook chat dialog is open, will automatically add a scheduled event to check for new messages every second, then when one is detected, the new message is automatically announced by screen readers that support ARIA.
Also, the beginning of the message area is converted into a heading, so that heading navigation can be used by screen reader users, and the Message input field is given a hotkey so that keyboard only users can quickly jump to the chat input field from anywhere on the page.

Just run the bookmarklet whenever you open a Facebook chat dialog, and accessibility will automatically be configured for screen reader users.

So for the update...

Screen reader users can now press Ctrl+1 to hear the last 5 messages announced in chronological order.
If anyone feels that this should be increased, let me know, it's easily done.

For those currently using the bookmarklet, you don't have to do anything, since it already points to the updated code at
_chat_dialog_module/js/fb_chat.js

For those not using the bookmarklet but wishing to try it out, you can get it from the bottom of the page at
_chat_dialog_module/demo.htm
Which is where some of the confusion I was refering to earlier originates. Just scroll down to the bottom of the page and you can't miss it.

The code for the bookmarklet, including the remote JS file, is also available in the download for those wishing to take it apart.

Best wishes,
Bryan

Plus I just fixed the missing background clr on the wireframe.; a bit embarrassing...
Not seeing is a pain at times...

Listen with Friends allows Facebook users to listen to music and discuss the tunes using Facebook Chat with friends at the same time. Users can also listen in as a group while one friend acts as a DJ. Up to 50 friends can listen to the same song at the same time, and chat about it. Every time a user begins listening to music with a friend, a "story will be posted to her/his friends" ticker and/or news feed. Users will have control over who will be able to see when they are listening with a friend through their App Settings page after installing the compatible music app.[175] This feature was initially supported through Audizer.com, but as of August 2012, services were discontinued and the Facebook / Audizer splash page has been redirected to Facebook.com.[176]

In February 2010, TechCrunch reported that Facebook was working to rewrite its messaging service to turn it into a "fully featured webmail product", dubbed "Project Titan".[240] The feature, unofficially dubbed a "Gmail killer" internally, was launched on November 15, 2010,[241] and allowed users to directly communicate with each other via Facebook using several different methods. Users could create their own "user...@facebook.com" email address to communicate, use text messaging, or through the Facebook website or mobile app's instant messaging chat. All messages were contained within single threads in a unified inbox.[242] The email service was terminated in February 2014 because of low uptake.[243][244]

Despite its issues, and there are many, Facebook remains today's main digital public square. Politicians and journalists gravitate toward Twitter, Gen Z loves Snapchat and TikTok, and Facebook fills in the gaps everywhere else.

What about all the people you asked to be your friend who ignored or deleted your request? Facebook keeps track of that. Go to facebook.com/friends/requests for a list of the people who hate you. Or maybe they just don't check Facebook that much. Probably both.

In theory, all your Facebook friends are actually people you like, and want to hear from, but that's not realistic. But it would be rude to defriend your aunt or your chatty high school classmate. Take the easy way out and Unfollow them. Their posts won't appear in your News Feed, but you'll still be "friends" as far as Facebook is concerned. Unfollow from the News Feed by selecting the ellipsis and clicking "Unfollow [friend]." They won't be notified and you can scroll in peace. Re-activate your virtual friendship later by going to Settings & Privacy > News Feed Preferences > Reconnect.

Cross-app messaging merges the messaging features of Facebook and Instagram in an extension of a feature that already exists within each platform. Your chats lists, contacts and conversations are made available on both Instagram and Facebook This chat feature allows users on Messenger to chat with users on the Instagram app without needing to switch between the two, and vice versa.

To create a chat blast on Facebook Messenger, you would typically need to use a third-party tool or service that offers this functionality. These tools usually allow you to import your contact list, compose a message, and send it to multiple recipients simultaneously. Refer to the documentation or instructions provided by the tool/service you are using for detailed steps.

Further, OCR does not endorse any of the applications that allow for video chats listed above.
