Friday at Carlyle

Matt and I are heading out to Carlyle around noon.  Will probably launch from Dam East.  Looking like a good day.  BTW Juan, you're a Youtube star, Sunday's session is now posted on Youtube.    http://www.youtube.com/user/ChrisFabick

Chris, given the forecasted wind direction, wouldn't it be cleaner at
Coles Creek? I'm planning on taking the afternoon off and going but
in principle i was going to go to Coles Creek ...

P.S. I'll take a look at that Youtube posting. There were some
people sailing and went by a couple of sailboats this past Sunday ...

Dam East was great for windsurfing on Monday (similar direction).  Today's wind has a little more south in it, judging by the flag on top the Adams Mark right now.  Matt had no problems launching his kite, walking out on the dock, and hitting the water.  And that was on a day with a little more onshore breeze.  Check out Dam East before you commit to Coles.    CM --- On Fri, 10/2/09, Juan <arha...@gmail.com> wrote:

I may also go to Carlyle today. One should definitely check Dam East on their way to Coles Creek. However, I think there is too much south wind in the forecast for Dam East, especially if launching a kite, as the trees on the west side of the boat ramp will create a significant wind shadow. I agree and will only go to Dam East if nobody else goes to Coles
Creek, just for safety reasons (prefer not be by myself). Please let
me know you (or anybody else for that matter) are going to Coles Creek
and i'll be at Coles Creek.
