Kiteboarding in St Louis

I'm traveling in the area in May. Staying a few days in St Charles. Any tips on the best spots to kiteboard?

in STL  its all based on wind  which we often dont get much  especially in the warmer summer months   we have mor luck in the spring and fall

Pat, like Kevin said it all depends on wind......and STL is not known as a wind destination !

You can try Creve Ceour lake, if wind from North or South with west in it.  Difficult spot (at least for me) since wind is non-smooth and there is not much room to launch/recover.  The east side of lake is where we kite from.

The next spot would be Carlyle lake or Rend lake, both in Illinois. 

After that, make the 4-hour drive to Kansas City.  Smithville lake is pretty cool.  There is a great group out there that can advise you further on KC action.
