In the Wind and a Whirl with a Mermaid Girl

 

Is it the waves upon the shore

or do you hear something more

Is it the wind blowing throgh the trees

or mermaids singing in the breeze

 

We sail past the distant beach

I look for her on a beam reach

I listen for her singing her song

;with moonlight waves following along

 

I find myself wishing for

an unforgetable night

an embrace till dawn

A memorable day

of swimming away

to the sand on the shore

in a sailor lore

in the wind and a whirl

with a mermaid gurk

 

A love sparked by a shooting star

that lights the flame and jumps the heart

of every sailor in the night

is it a mermaid in dim light

 

I am rebuked by a wise old bird

so I cut him down without a word

Don't mock me in a way to scold

There is such a thing as a heart of gold

 

That just makes me just want it more

A warship's shadow in the night

canons have us in thier sight

the bombs burst at the gun's roar

we go down far from the shore

staring down this pistol's bore

How did YOU make to the shore

Ted,

 

I have an 8.0 sail if you are still interested?  I haven't taken it out of the bag to take pics but I will see if I can find the pics from when I bought it.  Don't think it has had much use, but not sure until I pull it out to see which one it is exactly.
