Hi All,

Has anyone ever tried to get permission to windsurf at Busch Memorial Conservation Area Lake 33?  It would be worth looking into.  (see attached video link, photos & map)

Thanks,
Bob M

I checked that lake out a long time (several years) and was told by a couple fisherman that it had stumps in it.  However, they didn't seem to appreciate me being there...maybe they told me that just to scare me away.  I do know  you have to have a fishing license to get on any of the lakes there.  At least that was the rule when I checked on it years ago.

A great lake, worth another investigation.  And CLOSE !

Not sure what the winds would be like either..if I recall my topo map correctly that area is fairly high so would be OK even though has trees.

I say we just go try it...what is the worse that could happen???  (except for the stumps..if they do exist.  maybe I'll recon with a kayak)

I have fished that lake and yes, it's full of stumps.
Don't forget  Bush wildlife was part of the ammo plant where Monsanto played with radioactive stuff.
On your way down there on Hway 94 just past the High School is a big covered hill.
That is where the plant is now buried under a big layer of concrete .
At least you can see good at night as everything glows.

I don't think it is a good place to play in the water

Hmmm, I don't remember seeing any signs not to eat the fish out of there.  Makes you wonder...
