Need Windsurfing Spot In Texas Near Pasadena

Hi, I'm taking a trip to Pasadena, TX. late next week and want to do a little windsurfing. Taking my son, 16, who has done it before too. I'm out of practice. Ideally we would rent somewhere or even take a refresher lesson. I know the ocean is supposed to be better than the inland lakes so want to give it a go. I'm trying not to drive too far south since I need to get back by Sunday. It is a short trip. Any ideas would be appreciated. I might even take some equipment since I will be in a cargo van picking up a motorcycle. I don't even know what size sails to bring really.
