All,
Went out to Carlyle again this afternoon. The Corp of engineers has been letting out large amounts of water over the past week. As a result the water levels have gone down significantly. One of the boat ramps near the west marina was open so there were a few boats on the water today.
I went out to Harbor Lights and found the beach area still closed. There is actually a sign saying the beach is closed and a set of bouys out a few feet from the parking lot so you can't launch out from the parking lot. They have also planted a couple of rows of trees in the grass to the left of where we used to rig and come back up from the water onto shore.
If we don't get any more excessive rains and they keep letting water out at the current rate the lake should be accessible again within the next week or two.
Regards,
Danny Johnson
