There is a very interesting project, an ecological yoga farm in Belarus, ShantiDom, that is interested in having a wind turbine installed at their place. I am forwarding to you their request and anyone who wants can contact them directly.

ABOUT US
We are an ecological and yoga project in Belarus - Shantidom- since 2015 every season we have lots of volunteers here from different countries who help us to create a special and unique place. Here we live close to nature and follow some very important rules for us as ecology, vegetarianism, humanity, helping local people, kids, etc. This information will be more complete if you see our website and the video from the last year on this page - http://shantidom.by/english/
BELARUS AND ECOLOGY
Belarus is very new in all this ecology and sustainable way of living, and we can easily say that there is nothing similar to our project here. People have just started to realize that we need to save energy, to protect our Nature. Very seldom you will see solar panels or wind power generators, but what is very clear is that day by day people are getting more and more informed and aware about the ecology situation and they start understand the necessity of using alternative energy, building sustainable houses, etc. Belarus is Europe 10 years ago in this questions. So our project is in the very beginning of the new stream of new generation people who take care of the planet.
AGAIN ABOUT US
We own a land with an old wooden primary school building (1938) which we reconstruct with volunteers. We have 2 solar panels by the way :), and people who are coming every year (sometimes we have 30-40 people at the same time) they wish to learn from us, they learn permaculture, yoga, ecological farming, natural materials constructing, etc. The project is getting very popular day by day. People come here, stay for months with us, learn and go back home with the idea to create a new eco life around them, to start using solar energy or to build a new green house. We also have many partners, informative and those who help us a bit with materials. Thats important and very helpful to spread the information about us all over the country.
OUR PLANS
As far the project is not commercial it is really difficult for us to keep moving, even though we have done a lot. Now we have an idea to move to another place that has much more opportunities for our needs. We are looking for support of different organizations as yours. And wish to continue educating people around us. What we are going to do is to sell the school house we were working at and using this money and support of different companies/partners to build a new house, many small houses for volunteers and guests and other things as wind and water generators, big organic farm, etc. We would like to become a place where people can see different way of building eco houses and getting energy, kind of open air museum.
WHAT WE PROPOSE
We propose you to become our friend and partner what more specifically is:
- help us with building and constructing or whatever you are able and wish to help with by simply investing to our project. Money or tools, or the full construction, or a very good discount, etc. This investment will give you your positive energy back very soon.
- once the object of our relations appears at our place we will inform and let every visitor know about you and your help, to show people how does it work and to let them contact you directly or through us for getting it from you.
- we can actually become your representative with a real platform for showing your product and help you with your business.
- Our informative partners and other mass communication will talk about it, we are almost sure about it, Belarus is small but very communicative country. If something like this happens, people will talk about it.
- You need to understand that participating in our project you open the door not only to the market of Belarus, but to the Russia as well as we have the same customs area and lots or people from Russia come to Belarus and start making businesses by using this opportunity.
- We hope that your organization has not only material idea of doing what you do. The sphere you are working at has appeared to help human being and our planet to survive, to be strong and healthy. Good things has to be done!
WHAT EXACTLY DO WE NEED
- prefab/ eco/ green/ sustainable buildings like a living house or even something really small, goat house or one for chickens :)
- natural materials for building, wood, tiles, windows, doors etc.
- machinery for eco-farming
- solar, wind, water power generators
- water conservation, heating systems, heat pump, etc.
- greenhouse
- eco-friendly furniture, homewares
- money support for anything from this list
- something else what we don’t even know about yet
We are not looking for something really expensive and huge, absolutely any type of support is very helpful. Just think about the help you can create by sharing a small peace of your happiness with us.
