hi everyone,
we are a group from berlin, germany, that has been biulding different hugh piggott turbines for year. for a while the idea of the implementation of a mpp tracker has been growing whithin the group. before we start spending more time on this idea: has anyone experience with this in a piggott-turbine?
best regards,
anna

     Hello Anna,

We have a power electronics project within W.E. called WeeWall. It is based on using modular power electronics to build rural micro-grids from the bottom up.
We are currently developing wind MPPT through two ways: active rectification and DC-DC. If you are interested in testing the technology, let me know.

       cheers

Hello Luiz,

i would like to resume the discussion about the mppt for the hp-turbine. i´m also part of the group from berlin (https://erni-kollektiv.org/). we are currently trying to install a turbine in germany with the libresolar (https://libre.solar/devices/mppt-charger-20a/) as mppt-charge controller. but we are still working on security issues.

how far are your developments with the mppt or mpp charge controller? is it already a proven system which you had tested and measured? do you already have any documentation about it so i could have a look in it?

would be happy to read from you

cheers from berlin

          hello everyone,

I'm sorry, but I've just read this e-mail. Here's our online repository:

https://redmine.laas.fr/projects/single-phase/wiki

We have a single-phase DC-DC current bi-directional power converter which is quite cheap. We have not yet included safety elements into it, but we could do that together with you guys if you want. The whole project is open-source.

I'd be more than happy to have a skype or a webinar on this.

          Cheers

           Luiz
