Issue 1 - I want to print to an Epson Workforce 500. The software is
not available to use that all-in-one in Ub 8.04 and I bought this
specifically to connect it to the W4L package so I could use the
scanner and printer with the software on Epson CD. The problem is
that in the virtual environment I can't see it in XP. How do I work
through this.
a - I have the printer connected in Ub 8.04 and it see's it and
currently use the foto image print system in UB 8.04. That driver
only works in open office. all other apps fail to print.

Issue 2 - I wanted to use my flash drives in XP. Ub 8.04 leaves crud
on the drives everytime they get disconnected and leaves the drive
read only and now I can't add or delete files. I need to manage these
files in wXP to work around. What do I do?

Wow sorry but nowadays your better of posting to tech support.
These post don't work like they used to on the old forum site.
You may want to install the software that came with the printer in
windows and then make sure that you have the properties set up for
your install set for printing.
Most of this is in the manual.
As for the flash drives that sounds very starnge, I have not seen any
such thing happen even back in 7.10. Are you un-mounting or ejecting
volume before you remove it, if not that would cause many problemst.
