Accessing a Suunto memory belt via usb

I am new to Win4Lin and ubuntu. I installed W4L with Windows XP-sp3.
I have Suunto Training Manager installed on my XP guest session, and a
heart-rate monitor belt connected to my USB drive. I cannot "see" the
memory belt device connected to the USB, so I cannot access it to
upload HR-data.
Any ideas?
