Hi - I installed win4lin this week and everything works great except
it does not connect to the Internet. I am running Linux Mint 6 and it
connects just fine, I have not changed any setting anywhere in Win4Lin
from install settings. The Windows XP guest setting is set for use
Basic TCP/IP. The system network settings are use NAT IPv3 Subnet:
192.168.84

Can you give me a clue where to look or what to change to get my
network on-line? I'm new to Win4Lin so please keep it as basic as
possible . . .
thanks,
joe

I hope you get some answers. I have waited 8 days and no one
answered. I had to check with the ubuntu users group in google to
find out. Check out mint groups.

If you haven't found a solution I suggest you try Tech Support.
Seems that there aren't too many people involved in this forum format,
unlike the older forums.
You could try one of the older forums and do a search to see if there
is a quick solution for your issue.
I am no expert but could it be something with your nat settings?

I am not at all satisfied with tech support on this product. They
replied within 3 days and I wrote back but no help. Win XP keeps
shutting down everytime I open any MS Office product and I still can't
connect to the internet . . . guess I'll ask for a refund since I'm
within my 30 days period.

Sorry to hear you are still having problems.
Have you tried a plain KVM install or VB or other virtulizer. That
would rule out whether it's something with win4linpro or some possible
system issue.
I have a plain vanilla install of KVM for playing with before I try it
in my experimental install of win4lin and if it doesn't break anything
there then I commit it to my working install. Sounds rather lengthy
but it has saved me some major grief.
