I have a gig MV, 2.5 mhz, P4, XP home..if that matters. It seems when
I put my desktop in hibernation, even for just a few hours, and then
wake it, my browser FireFox gets some kind of reaction from the
slumber, but not only FF, I also have AOL and it wouldn't allow me
even to sign on. On a rare occasion when I do 'wake' my system, I am
able to sign on aol, and surf FF, but then I go to my usual links and
the hour glass goes on and on, until finally I have to do the task
mode to end it. The large X would have no effect. Finally, I shut the
computer completely, wait, reboot and everything is normal with aol
and FF. Does anyone know why hibernation is causing this problen? It
only happens after putting it into hibernation and waking it up.

It could be because of the modem or network card going into sleep mode
too. Check this setting and see if the computer is alowed to turn off
the network card to save energy. More then likely this is the
problem.
