to Ros on Windows
I hope I'm not falling for some really elaborate April's Fools joke
(would be *really* elaborate: reported as early as February the 1st
[1]), but apparently MS have now (a new version of) a Linux sub system
running on Windows 10. See [2] (and [3] and [4], etc).

I'm really interested to see how performant this is, and whether this
would open up the use of (select pieces of) ROS 1 on Windows 10
machines. Interesting quote (from [2]):

"The sysbench utility is showing nearly equivalent cpu, memory, and
io performance."

As this is doing syscall translations, it could very well be a case of
adding the required amd64 ROS package repository and apt-get-ing
'ros-indigo-ros-base'. Even a base install would make Win10 a
first-class citizen in a ROS node graph.
