Dear WiMIR List,

The ISMIR 2024 organizing team is pleased to announce that this year’s conference will take place in an inclusive hybrid format with the aim of enabling both in-person and online participants to engage with the conference program and share their work.

  • The organizing team is committed to offering support (with e.g., grants, early registration to support visa timelines) to presenters who wish to attend in person. At the same time, we recognize that various factors can make in-person attendance infeasible, and aim to be inclusive to those who will participate online.

  • As noted in the Call for Papers, accepted papers may be presented in person or (synchronously) online. Planned modality of attendance does not factor into the double-blind peer review process and does not need to be reported at the time of paper submission.

  • As noted in the Call for Tutorials, remote presentation is an option provided that at least one presenter of each accepted tutorial is onsite, for quality of experience for in-person attendees.

  • Late-Breaking/Demo submissions, which will be announced closer to the conference date, will also offer in-person and online presentation formats.

Stay tuned for more details of the hybrid format in coming months. We look forward to welcoming you to the ISMIR 2024 conference!

Best,

Blair Kaneshiro, Gautham Mysore, and Oriol Nieto, ISMIR 2024 General Chairs

Vinoo Alluri, ISMIR 2024 Virtual Chair
