Dear WiMIR list,
There are a number of open opportunities for PhD studentships at the University of Surrey with approaching application deadlines (12 Jan or 17 Jan), including for PhD study in the Centre for Vision, Speech and Signal Processing (CVSSP).
I would particularly like to highlight the Breaking Barriers Studentships, which aim to address under-representation within specific departments to help advance gender equality and diversity. Within CVSSP (and physical sciences and engineering in general), this scheme is open to applicants who identify as women or no-binary.
For more information about CVSSP research in AI and machine perception, including in topics related to audio and sound, see https://www.surrey.ac.uk/centre-vision-speech-signal-processing and https://www.surrey.ac.uk/centre-vision-speech-signal-processing/research/creative
For more information about PhD study in CVSSP, see https://www.surrey.ac.uk/centre-vision-speech-signal-processing/postgraduate-research-study, and explore potential PhD supervisors here https://www.surrey.ac.uk/centre-vision-speech-signal-processing/people/academic-staff

Best wishes,
