My partner found someone talking about this happening to them on a reddit sub and they recommended removing any expired credit or debit cards on your account (even if they aren't saved as you default card). I did this and 2 minutes later the vacation mode was removed from my shop. This might not work for everyone, but its definitely worth a try.

@EmeraldRoseGraphics Sorry to hear Emma. There's no advice to give. You're under review and many sellers are experiencing the same. You posted Etsy's detailed communication with you and why you were put on vacation mode, and that there is nothing you need to do (but wait). Why would you need an "email" or "message" stating the same thing? Hopefully your shop opens soon.

I wouldn't necessarily agree that it was a detailed communication that I received from them...
I thought I would receive some clarification from Etsy on this part of the message- 'which usually takes up to 48 hours after you uploaded your document', as I have not been asked for any document. I have now submitted a help ticket.

I'm sorry this happened. I haven't had this happen yet but I am expecting it. Shop owners have been reporting that their shops have been shut down for a day or two during the review process and then opened back up. Hopefully this is the case with yours. It is unfortunate that Etsy is not sending sellers a heads-up pre-warning a week before with what should be expected along with an estimated time of closure. This would help.

Same thing has happened to me this morning. I only opened my shop about 3/4 weeks ago still in the process of adding things. Received a bill the other day saying to pay by 15 October I have paid it this morning. A bit frustrating as I am trying to get established and I don't know why this has happened so unable to rectify if there is a problem.....

Everyone saying there's nothing to do is wrong. This happened to a bunch of us in another thread. most of us got back up and running after a few days. 1st: Open a ticket saying that you were put on vacation mode without communication and that you want to know what to do next. some people opened up multiple tickets. I opened 4, and emailed the ceo directly. I appears that there is some technical issue. it will most likely be resolved within a few days, and your shop will suddenly be back up without any explanation as if nothing happened. Best of luck though. I hope it gets resolved faster than mine.

Thanks for the info. This has happened to my shop today also. Put on vacation mode with no reason given. How in the world do I open a "Ticket" I've looked all through the support page and find no path forward in that regard. Scott

I have the same problem as you did. I updated to a new valid credit card but my shop is still on holiday. Hopefully they can fix my account when they open tomorrow. I can't think of any other reason they would have put my account on holiday.

The same thing has been happening to me for the past month, including today, October 6, 2023. It's happened to me six times now. I'm not getting a proper response from the team. Sometimes they remove the vacation mode within a few hours (usually 5-6 hours), but other times it takes over 24 hours.

I'm sorry to hear that its happened to you too, really frustrating! They really don't make it easy to contact them, I went though this link and clicked the 'I still need help' grey button. However even though my shop is opened now, I still haven't received a reply from them-

Do you have any other expired payment cards or old addresses still on your account? If so, its worth removing them incase its that. Hopefully your shop will be up and running again soon, your art is beautiful!

What an energetic person Emma is! We were lucky enough to have her in our team as a longterm volunteer, totally motivated to keep on sharing OHFs spirit as well after she was leaving and already organized a Christmas market stand to raise funds for OHF by selling the amazing postcards made at the art table by one of our regular visitors.

I will always remember this breakfast one day, where the kitchen team prepared homemade falafel wrap for all the helpers and volunteers. The general euphoria, the music, the smiles. So much commitment from this kitchen that, at the same time as providing a thousand of meals for the visitors every day, manage to surprise their colleagues with edible love.

I have started with the basic daily tasks that One Happy Family offers us to do, my favourite ones are the bank(distribution of the daily drachma, the One Happy Family currency to access certain services) and the cafe. But I also really enjoy the diverse lunch tasks to facilitate the distribution of thousands of meals, the playground, the art table and the cybercafe, without forgetting the special training to do the barbershop registration.

Thanks to One Happy Family, to let me be part of this project, it raised so much awareness in me, about the crisis, the people but also myself. I am so glad to have been able to put my energy there and it gave back so much to me. A part of my heart will stay here with the people, I wish for the best.

I'm repairing and modifying my old Corrado to run with E85 fuel. I need to replace the fuel pump with one that works with E85. The new pump is slightly smaller than the stock spare part. So I was thinking of using an adapter to make it fit into factory swirl pot (black PLA part in photo). This part is inside fuel tank so is there filament that would stay in shape when submerged in gasoline/ethanol blend? PETG, Nylon, Polypropylene?

PC is OK for gasolines but not so much for ethanol, if the part has to be permanently submerged in the liquid. PETg withstands ethanol very well, but gasolines will attack it, given enough time. Same goes for Polypropylene.

After trying and experiencing just about every DE and Distro, including Gnome 45 and now lately Gnome 46, I have settled on Ubuntu 22 LTS Pro because it took me about a year to collect all the components to get, from my point of view, my perfect DE for daily use.

There is a very good and valid reason Ubuntu 22 is hopefully going to stay with Gnome 42 for LTS and Pro reasons. That is the whole point of LTS. Big difference between cutting edge and bleeding edge.

Secondly, good themes for Gnome 42 and GTK3 are becoming more scares as everyone wants to blindly leap forward with bleeding edge. How long before GTK4 themes become available for the average end user that can apply them in a wink of an eye?

What, am I in the Gnome court room? All I did is express my opinion and see if there are any like-minded individuals who would like to calmly and joyfully discuss their opinions with me! But I get scolded, called names and to be quite honest, I totally regret wasting my time posting here.

Cool!! I should give Guillotine another look. I also configured CHC so that when I swipe up with mouse from the left bottom of the screen, overview pops up, and if I swipe up from the right bottom of the screen, app view pops up. And of course Click To Close is indispensable. My desktop is basically a large phone or tablet with a keyboard and a mouse. I also have a drawing pad for Gimp, Krita, etc.

Gnome team took the freedom to make their DE exactly the way they want. One as a use could just modify it as much as one likes. I would recommend you to check KDE amazing customization or to get a flexible light weight custom DE maybe try Hyprland which looks pretty sick but requires a commitment to customize. Good luck keeping up!

Been there, done that. I like Arch as it is well maintained and supported. I am a huge fan if Compiz and I am playing around with Wayfire and Hyperland. Very complicated. If I had to move away from Ubuntu and Gnome (Well, not really Gnome) I would definitely go with Mint Cinnamon Debian Edition. I can pretty much achieve the same look and feel I have now without breaking a sweat.

My opinion is that Singularity will continue to stay offline for one reason.
Cost.
And it is the cost of energy, which have doubled sometime before they decided to bring it down.
I know it is normalizing to prior conditions, but it is still a burden.

The grinding part of it is tiring so I will take my foot off the pedal and play more casually. (I am focusing my energies on Looney Tunes World of Mayhem which I enjoy much more. More on that another time)

If you put yourself in the shoes of those of us that elected to skip Aegir based on his then terrible power, we are all now thinking there is no point strategically planning which Hotm to get in future.

I find that the less I worry about being competitive or has to be one that has all the new shiny bells and whistles and just playing in an environment where you feel comfortable with creates a lot less headache. Come back down to, what do I get for being in the top 100 or have all the heroes ever released (either by spending, or being extremely lucky), a fleeting moment of bragging rights that no one will probably remember as they look back on their lives?
