I'm teaching a Mindful Writing: The Path to Creative Freedom daylong
mindfulness and writing retreat in Wilmington on May 5, 2012 from 9am
- 4pm. Cost is $90 with some partial scholarships available.
Mindful Writing is a process that merges guided meditations with a
mindfulness-based writing practice. It calms and centers the body and
mind and keeps the attention focused on the present moment while
writing. This facilitates deep writing and creative freedom. It
bypasses the difficult mind states, distractions, and inner critic and
allows for easy access to the authentic writing voice that exists
within all of us. This workshop is for beginning and experienced
writers.

Jennifer Johnson, MS, MFA, LPC is a psychotherapist, wellness and
stress management coach for individuals and corporations, writer, and
photographer in Wilmington, NC. She teaches Mindfulness-Based Stress
Reduction (MBSR) courses and workshops and retreats on mindfulness,
stress management, and creativity. Jennifer has taught writing at Mars
Hill College, Asheville-Buncombe Community College, UNC-Asheville, and
Antioch University. Her writing has been published in magazines,
literary journals, and professional training manuals. Jennifer is a
contributing writer on mindfulness for Wilmington Faith and Values.
