No watch designer will devote time, effort, and energy into crafting a timepiece they find unattractive. Individuals have different tastes, styles, and preferences. So what seems as "ugly" for some might simply look unique to another. Considering the fact that, it is not surprising that some boldly-designed watches that are meant to appeal to a niche market become best-sellers while the ones that display traditional styling get lukewarm reception. Many times consumers look for that one thing that they are not going to find anywhere else.

  Research studies may provide an indication of customer preferences but the accomplishment of a watch will only be acknowledged once it is being sold in the market place.
