Shepherd Jazz Camp/Williamsport Jazz

Good morning all,

Please see the email below! Shepherd University is holding a jazz camp this summer for all ages and experiences levels. See the attachment for more information!

For regular jazz band folks, please reserve the evenings of June 19th, 20th, and 21st from 7-8pm for rehearsals for the Williamsport fair on Tuesday, June 25th. I am working towards getting more details for you for that event. If there is anyone who is in the jazz band who cannot make those dates, please let me know as soon as you can. These rehearsals will be at the barn.

Hi Courtney,
I wanted to touch base with you to see if you have any opportunity to help us recruit for the Jazz Camp at Shepherd, June 24th-28th? Do you know any talented piano, bass or percussion students who would benefit from our Jr. or Sr. Jazz Camp? We need to have a solid rhythm section for the faculty to work with, and we are absent of percussionists at the moment, as well as piano and bass players. We have a lot of trumpet and saxophone students.
Any assistance you could give us would be wonderful. If you have access to local music educators, would you promote our camp to them?
I have attached the Jazz Camp brochure for you to email to any colleagues who may be able to recruit students to register. We have a limited amount of financial aid available, with an application to apply for scholarship.

Hey Courtney

    That jazz Camp sounds interesting will look into it. As for the gig on the 25^th I will not be able to participate, I am on the Board of directors for Fountain head C.C. and we have our annual meeting that night, where I must be present. So I apologize for missing this but look forward to future gigs.
