Hi Everybody,

If you're unfamiliar with Yuri's Night (www.ynba.org), it's really one of the more fantastic and exciting events around.  I'm curating the artwork for Yuri's Night Bay Area 2010, including installing two massive sculptures on the NASA Ames Space Center tarmac: the Serpent Mother from the Flaming Lotus Girls (www.flaminglotus.com/category/flg/serpent-mother), and the stunning Raygun Gothic Rocketship (www.raygungothicrocket.com).

As part of our art exhibition, we're also offering space to visual artists.  Inside the main hangar, there will be a series of 10'x10' (pipe and drape) booths featuring interactive and science-based exhibits, and we're providing 10 of these booths free of charge to select artists to show their work.  You're welcome to vend there if you wish, and/or just put up your work and provide contact information for yourself.  You will keep 100% of any sales you make through the event.

Over 10,000 people are expected over the course of the two-day event, and it's anticipated to be a fairly well-to-do crowd.  Small sculpture, paintings, photography, mixed media, whatever ... I'd love to have a nice variety.  Our only stipulation is that this is a family event, with a lot of children enjoying fun educational activities during the day, so we ask that there be NO NUDITY in the work you choose to show, as a courtesy to these families.

Load-in will be on Thursday, April 8th, and the event is April 9th and 10th.  Strike is the evening of April 10th, after the big celebration has ended, or during the day on Sunday, April 11th.  Each artist will receive 2 complimentary tickets to BOTH days of the event.

If you're interested in showing at Yuri's Night, please let me know as soon as possible, and we'll fill you in with more information.  Thanks!

-Will

"What the really great artists do is they're entirely themselves, they've got their own vision, their own way of fracturing reality, and if it's authentic and true, you'll feel it in your nerve endings."  - David Foster Wallace
