Wildlife Insights
We've just released a few new features and improvements to the site. As always, we welcome your feedback via our feature request form or bug report form!
Here’s what’s new:
Rotate images during upload. If you set your camera to take vertically oriented images, you can now upload images so they appear vertically in Wildlife Insights. Image rotation can be set when you create a new deployment, and can only be applied to deployments created after this date.
Explore page shows Sequence projects. We've updated the Explore page to include Sequence projects and statistics. Now, you can see the total number of images (from image-based projects) as well as the total number of sequences (from sequence-based projects).
Explore page statistics and Public Downloads only include Catalogued images. For projects where a majority of images had not been Catalogued, the Explore page statistics could be misleading by showing unconfirmed identifications. To minimize misinterpretation of the public data, all public pages and downloads now only include Catalogued images.
Public project pages load faster. We've optimized the public project page (example) so that it loads in just a few seconds.
Bursts show separate ID boxes for each unique identification. We fixed a bug that combined ID boxes if the species was the same but the count was different.
Inherited initiative roles fixed. All initiative members are granted a Viewer role in all projects in the initiative. If you're experiencing an issue with these inherited roles, please revoke permissions and reinvite your collaborator to reset the role.
