I have an interesting picture with an Eastern Gray Squirrel and a Brown Cuban Anole  (Anolis sagrei), and the Anole is not in the database that I could find.  Am I doing something wrong?

Both critters had bounding boxes.  I attached the image.

Thank you.

Hey Gus,

The Wildlife Insights taxonomy list draws from the IUCN Red List,  ASM Mammal database, and BirdLife International. The list's coverage for reptiles isn't fully comprehensive since camera trapping for reptiles is relatively limited. However, you can request additions to the Wildlife Insights taxonomy list by filling out this Taxonomy Request Form.

Thanks for the question!

Thank you so much!  I went to the IUCN Red List, and found three species there, that are not in the WI database and put in a request like you instructed. It was easy. They include the Cuban Brown Anole, the Green Anole, and the Gopher Tortoise.  These three are common to Central Florida (USA) and will be part of a K-12 science research project in identifying and cataloging local species.  This is a collaborative project between the University of Florida, Univ. of Central Florida and our local public school system.
