Hello,

I am having issues uploading from several folders at once. The only solution I have found is moving all of the images into one folder, then uploading them to the website. This is taking hours of extra time. Hoping someone has a more efficient way of doing this! Any help is appreciated. Thank you in advance!

A little more detail:

The SD card saves all of the trail camera images into folders of 999 images. If there are a lot of images, I will have up to 12 folders of unique images with the same set of names. When I start an upload, I use * to pull all of the images out of their folders and select them for upload. I uncheck the box so it will upload "duplicate images." The pop-up at the bottom goes through all of the images, but not even a third of them actually end up being successfully uploaded. I am unable to attach the screenshots to this post for some reason, but I can provide them if needed.

Again, thank you for reading and help in advance!

Hello,

I have also had to find a way to deal with this. At first I was also using your approach and having similar issues. Now I rename all the files, which can be done fairly quickly. I open each subfolder and rename all the files like this: 'Pointname (1)'. Then I transfer them to the main DCIM folder and open the next subfolder and rename them 'Pointname (1001)' - or whatever the next number would be. Windows automatically gives each photo a unique number if it's in a parenthesis at the end like that. So in the end I have 12,000 photos in DCIM, each with a unique name, and I upload to wildlife insights with the standard setting of no duplicates.

Hope that helps,
Hubert

Another option is to copy all the files at once into whatever folder you want them to be in. I do this by navigating to the main SD card folder where all the DCIM folders are stored, then doing a search for all .jpg files (or whatever file extension they are stored as). This will select the entirety of the pictures taken, which you then cut and paste into the place you want them to ultimately be stored. Windows will estimate the file transfer time, move the first set of files with a unique name, then prompt you what to do with files that have the same name. Here I click 'keep a copy of both files' and it will add the parenthesis with 1, 2, 3, etc. at the end of the file, so each one has a unique name. From there you can upload them to Wildlife Insights. If you need to sort them in your file explorer so they appear in order of capture you just sort them by date.
