Can't edit photos or metadata

I'm importing images from a VicoHome camera. The images contain visible timestamps burned into the image, but Wildlife Insights assigns sequence dates of 1970 or leaves timestamps blank in the export. The Metadata tab described in your documentation is disabled for every catalogued image, so I cannot correct the timestamps. Is this expected behavior for images without embedded EXIF timestamps, or is something wrong with my project?
